Super Bright LED
LED bulbs are undoubtedly better than traditional incandescent and fluorescent lamps. Apart from their high energy efficiency and long life, the LED bulbs are preferred largely because they offer both pure white light and vibrant colors. Moreover, these bulbs are vibration resistant and can be conveniently installed. With the advent of the latest technologies, LED bulbs have undergone further evolution that has resulted in the generation of more intense illuminance.
The super bright LED Bulbs are composed of the surface mount device LEDs. Being small, these LEDs generate tremendous heat energy that requires to be dissipated instantly, or else the expected lifespan of the LED may be affected. Super bright LED bulbs have a range of operating current between 350mA to 700mA. Although a small amount for the standard bulbs, it is huge for the small sections of LED materials. No escape route for the current results in the excessive generation of heat. Without proper dissipation of the heat produced by the operating current, the LEDs might die prematurely. Most of the manufacturers prefer to incorporate a finned aluminum body to increase the surface area to let the heat escape. More would be the generation of heat with higher amount of current being employed in the operation. That would require the aluminum fins to be more in count, longer and thinner. A more recent design of super bright LED bulbs incorporates water to accelerate the dissipation of heat.
The super bright LED bulbs are offered within a range of 10° - 60° and greater beam width of the LED. The total intensity of light between the various degrees of view angles remains same, although the concentration with a narrower view seems brighter because of the lesser space. The width of the view angle causes the light volume to spread resulting in the lesser brightness. Light spread outside the view angle is minimal. The color temperature of the super bright white LED bulbs ranges more than 6000K. Daylight White LED bulbs and cool and warm LED bulbs have lower ranges of color temperatures. A colder or a bluer tint often becomes visible with the light that depends directly upon the number of the LED bulbs.
All over the world, LED bulbs serve as drop-in replacements for domestic sockets. The high powered LED bulbs can function with dual voltage, which makes them universally applicable. To support dual voltage, the bulbs require switching internally between the voltage arrangements as appropriate.
